Carbon Steel grades we deal in -:

EN8 steel bar is a medium carbon steel grade of engineering steel that offers greater strength and hardness as compared to the low carbon grades. The formability and weldability of En8d are fair when using accepted shop practices. While machinability is good, this grade responds very well to forging and heat treating. It is one of the most used grades of carbon steel.

Equivalent Grades:  EN8D, CLIV, CK45, 45C8

EN9 steel is a medium carbon steel grade having carbon content between 0.5 to 0.6 commonly supplied in the As Rolled condition. It is available in rounds, flats, hexagons, and other forms. It is used in a number of engineering applications such as gears, sprockets, and cams. Grades such as S55C, and S53C are also types of En9 grades.

It can be flame or induction hardened to produce a high surface hardness with excellent wear resistance for a carbon steel grade.

En9 Bars are used for machine parts where wear resistance property is more important than toughness. It is used for crankshafts, keys, cylinders, cams, rifle barrels, small gears, ball mill balls, etc. It can be surface hardened by flame and induction hardening.

Equivalent Grades – 55C8, C55, C60
