About Alloy Steel

EN-19 is high-quality alloy steel with tensile strength. With a combination of good ductility and shock resistance, EN19 is suitable for applications with very high loading such as engine gearboxes.

EN-24 is a very high-strength steel alloy that is supplied in hardened and tempered conditions. It’s a combination of nickel-chromium-molybdenum which offers high tensile strength with good ductility and wear resistance characteristics.

EN31 is the EN chemical designation. Structural parts of medium and large cross-sections and high surface hardness, e.g., valve and gate valves, cylinders for combustion engines, superheated steam valves, and fittings.

We are the leading supplier of EN31 Round & Flat Bars.

SAE 52100 Round Bars are often referred to as bearing steel. The chemistry of SAE 52100 Round Bar is a high carbon, chromium-containing one. Belonging to a low alloy steel category, the AISI 52100 Alloy Steel Round Bar is noted in particular for use as bearings due to their good hardness properties.

EN36 is a 3% nickel, chromium, and molybdenum grade. Carburized EN36 gives a hard case with a strong core, whilst retaining a remarkable degree of toughness.

En41B Alloy Steel is chromium-aluminum-molybdenum nitriding steel usually supplied in hardened and tempered conditions. It is also called nitrating steel. In nitrating treatment, it is hardened to a certain depth according to the application to improve the wear resistance and improve the impact load on the material.

En353 steel has a carbon content of 0.17% and is the most common form of steel as it provides material properties that are acceptable for many automobile applications such as heavy-duty gear, shaft, pinion, and camshafts, gudgeon pins. It is neither externally brittle nor ductile due to its lower carbon content and lower hardness. As the carbon content increases, the metal becomes harder and stronger.

SAE 8620 steel is a common low nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel. It is a case hardened carburizing alloy steel. This alloy steel is flexible during hardening treatments, thus enabling improvement of case/core properties. It is usually supplied in as-rolled condition but can also be supplied in bright bar form.

SAE 8620 steel can be used for several medium-strength applications such as camshafts, fasteners, gears, and chains/chain pins.

16MnCr5 steel is alloyed case hardening engineering steels for parts that require core tensile strength of 800 – 1100 N/mm² and good wearing resistance. It is an engineering material typically used to manufacture piston bolts, camshafts, levers, and other vehicle and mechanical engineering components.

20MnCr5 case hardening steel is low alloyed engineering case hardening steel for parts that require core tensile strength of 1000 – 1300 N/mm² and good wearing resistance. It is used in boxes, piston bolts, spindles, camshafts, gears, shafts, and other mechanical controlling parts.

EN1A is a very popular grade of low carbon-manganese free cutting steel, which is most suitable for the manufacture of repetition turned components, such as nuts, bolts, hydraulic fittings, and studs, particularly where intricate drilling and machining operations are involved.

It can be case-hardened, producing components with enhanced wear resistance. En1a is also available as En1a leaded for greater machinability.

EN1aNL steel is a non-leaded Re-Sulphurated Free-Machining Steel. This is a premium grade of free-cutting steel. It has excellent machinability. It is suitable for case hardening and electroplating. We can provide you with free-cutting steel both in the black and bright cold drawn bar form.

Typical applications are Brake hose end, hydraulic parts, pulleys, disc brake pistons, wheel nuts and inserts, control linkages, gearbox components (case hardened), domestic garbage bin axles, concrete anchors, padlock shackles, hydraulic fittings, and vice jaws. En1a steel bars are used mostly in the bright form.
